Kansas Pre Race Report with Grant Enfinger and Team BCR
Season Recap: Grant Enfinger and Team BCR have visited Victory Lane twice this season in the ARCA Racing Series at Mobile Int’l Speedway and Iowa Speedway. The duo has made eight starts this season together that include four top-5 finishes.
History at Kansas: Enfinger and Team BCR finished third at Kansas Speedway last year together. Grant was able to lead 23 laps of the race until getting caught up with lap traffic near the end of the race. This will be Grant Enfinger’s 4th ARCA Racing Series start at Kansas and his 9th start of the 2013 season.
Marketing Partners: Joining Team BCR and Grant Enfinger on the No. 90 Ford Fusion is Primary Marketing Partner Motor Honey/Casite. Mentoring the Rookie: Justin Allison, Grandson of NASCAR Legend Donnie Allison, will join Team BCR for his ARCA Racing Series Debut. Grant will serve as a mentor for Justin as Grant is a veteran in the ARCA Racing Series.
Team Manager/Crew Chief, Howard Bixman expressed his thoughts on the season, “this has been a great year for Grant and our team; winning two races. I would like to thank Motor Honey/Casite for their support this season along with all of our marketing partners to make this season a success.”
Race Info: The Kansas Lottery 98.9 at Kansas Speedway will take place on Friday, October 4. Practice will be from 10:00am to 12:15pm ET. Menards Pole Qualifying will begin at 6:35pm ET and the start of the 99-lap race will begin at 8:30pm ET. Be sure to watch the race live on FOX Sports 1 at 8:30pm ET.
Meet Grant Enfinger: Fans can have the chance to get a picture and autograph with Enfinger at the Cabela’s Store in Kansas City, Kansas on Thursday, October 3rd from 5-6pm.
Q & A’s with Grant Enfinger
You led 23 laps of the Kansas race in 2012 until getting caught up with lap traffic late in the race. Do you think you can take the lead again and ultimately come home with another win this season?
“Well we have had a great season, this year, which means we are bringing some momentum with us. This is always big in racing. We have also made some gains on our intermediate package. The car drove great at Kentucky and I’m hoping it will be even better this week at Kansas. Motor Honey/Casite
have been a great support system for us this year and I’m very grateful they’re joining us again for the last race of the year.”
Justin Allison will make his debut at Kansas. Joining you as your teammate at Team BCR Racing, what sort of advice are you giving Justin going into the Kansas race?
“He’s been racing a long time so I think he has a good idea for what to expect. I have told him what he should expect to feel in lap traffic and in qualifying trim, advice among those lines. We are testing Monday in Nashville, and I expect he will learn more in one lap there than anything I have told him. He has a veteran Crew Chief, Howard Bixman, who has worked with many young talented drivers in the past with great success. Team BCR is a winning team with great equipment.”
