2/18 – Parts Failure Ruins A Great Qualifying Run For Grant Enfinger
PARTS FAILURE RUINS A GREAT QUALIFYING RUN FOR GRANT ENFINGER
(Mooresville, NC – February 18, 2013) Grant Enfinger has been searching for a win in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. Unfortunately, that was not what he received in the Lucas Oil 200 presented by MAVTV American Real.
With over 15 top 5’s in the series, Enfinger and Team BCR had high hopes for that first win they deserved at Daytona International Speedway. Working endless hours for months to prepare for this race, Enfinger qualified the #09 Motor Honey/Casite.com Ford Fusion in the sixth position, only thousands of a second away from top drivers in the series.
When the first yellow flag flew during the race, Enfinger was instructed to come in to make a pit stop. The #09 Motor Honey pit crew decided to take fuel only. When service was completed, Grant left the pit stall when the parts failure acquired. Sending the car back into the garage, the team realized they wouldn’t be able to repair the #09 Motor Honey/Casite.com Ford Fusion.
“Team BCR and I had a successful week in Daytona,” says ARCA/NASCAR Driver, Grant Enfinger. “We had a parts failure in the drive line and there was nothing anyone could do about it. This was the best car I have ever had, we proved that in qualifying. This team, headed by Howard Bixman, is the best in the business, I’m very thankful to be apart of this group and to have this opportunity. I would just like to thank all of our Marketing Partners and I’m excited to bring the same car to Talladega.”

Team Manager/Crew Chief, Howard Bixman said, “What a heart breaking disappointment for everybody involved. This Team BCR crew put a lot of effort and endless hours into this car and race for months and we were counting on a win or a strong top 3 finish, at least. We take a lot of pride in building top equipment, and having only two parts failures over all these years is a testament of our group. I want to thank Nick Ramey and his staff at RoushYates Engines for all their extra effort and the great horsepower they provided us for this race. Also want to thank Casite and their Motor Honey brand for all their support, along with all of our Marketing Partners.”
