Alabama’s Grant Enfinger Moves to Next Race on Schedule – Talladega
(Mooresville, NC – April 30, 2013) Grant Enfinger will make the transition from short track racing to the superspeedway this weekend for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250 at Talladega Superspeedway.
For the next race on the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule, Enfinger along with Team BCR will be competing for the win with the No. 90 Motor Honey/Casite, Triple K Construction, Hewes Concrete Polishing Ford Fusion.
“Going from a short track to a speedway is an entirely different scenario,” says Grant Enfinger. “At a short track, restarts help you get ahead of the pack but that’s not the same strategy we want to use at a speedway such as Talladega. Drafting in a group at Talladega is the best way to go.”
“This 2013 season has been very exciting for me. Receiving my first win at Mobile was a dream come true. I can’t say how grateful I am to all of our Marketing Partners for being a part of this along with this whole Team BCR organization. These are the best cars I have ever had and we have a great car this week.”
For the Fairhope, AL Driver, Talladega is considered to be one of his home tracks where he’ll have many family and friends there cheering him on to victory lane like they did at Mobile International Speedway this season.
Team Manager/Crew Chief, Howard Bixman said, “Grant and I were at Talladega a few years ago together where we had a very strong run along with leading laps. This week the crew built one of the strongest Ford Fusions we have ever had. We expect to be a contender and nothing less. I know we will produce great results since the entire Team BCR crew have been working long hours at the shop to be able produce a competitive car, with horsepower from RoushYates Engines. Grant is a very talented driver and I’m looking forward to a great weekend.”
Grant Enfinger also plans to attend the Race Fever event after the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250 has concluded on Friday, May 3rd. Race Fever is an annual fund-raising event benefiting the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind. The event will be held at the SPEED Channel Dome within the International Motorsports Hall of Fame. A BBQ dinner will be served as well as entertainment, live and silent auction. NASCAR Sprint Cup, NASCAR Nationwide Series and ARCA Racing Series drivers will be there to provide autographs, interviews and more.
Practice for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250 will be from 11am-2pm ET on Thursday, May 2nd with Menards Pole Qualifying beginning at 6:05pm ET. The race will be live on SPEED at 5pm ET on Friday, May 3rd.
