Grant Enfinger
No. 90 Motor Honey/Casite, Allegiant Travel Chevrolet
This Week’s GMS Racing’s Chevrolet at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds … Grant Enfinger will pilot Chassis No. 399 in the Southern Illinois 100 presented by Federated Car Care at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. This GMS Racing chassis has previously unloaded once this season at the Illinois State Fairgrounds when Enfinger started this Ryan “Pickle” London-prepared Chevrolet on August 17. He started second and finished third, and also lead the most laps on the one-mile clay oval.
Enfinger Looking for a Blue Ribbon at the DuQuoin State Fair … This weekend marks Enfinger’s second appearance at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. In 2011, then racing with team owner Mike Allgaier, the Fairhope, Al. driver finished tenth after a qualifying effort of 14th.
Dirty Stats … Grant Enfinger has only three starts on dirt in the ARCA Racing Series. He has an average starting position of 6.7 as well as an average finishing position of 8.3.
Where He Stands … Grant Enfinger is in second place in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driver point standings, only 25 points behind the leader.
Sweet as Honey Sponsorship … The No. 90 Chevrolet team will sport the blue and orange colors this weekend at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, with Motor Honey/Casite adorning the hood and Allegiant Travel on the quarter panels.
Meet Enfinger … Grant Enfinger is scheduled to participate in an autograph session with the ARCA Racing Series on the track at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, September 1.
In the Rearview Mirror: Madison International Speedway … A promising run in the Herr’s Live Life with Flavor 200 on August 23 didn’t produce the result Grant Enfinger was hoping for at Madison International Speedway. Enfinger, who spent 120 laps leading the 28-car field, had his powerful rally fall short when a rear-end gear broke, resulting in a 15th-place finish.
Grant Enfinger Quote:
“I’m looking forward to racing on dirt again with our No. 90 Motor Honey/Casite, Allegiant Travel Chevrolet, but I’m not a dirt track guy. I may not have a dirt track background, but I’m happy with everything I learned at Springfield (Illinois State Fairgrounds). “Pickle” (crew chief Ryan London) and I compared notes coming out of Springfield and we’re ready for a better weekend at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. I’m sure to a ‘real’ dirt track guy, there is a lot of difference between Springfield and DuQuoin, but I don’t come from the dirt.”
