Grant Enfinger Quote:
On the significance of racing and winning at his home racetrack:
“There are a lot of folks that follow our racing that can’t make it to a lot of the races, where at Mobile, they don’t have any excuse. We’ll have a big crowd there. Mobile is a race that we circle on the calendar every year. It’s pretty cool to be going there this year and trying to become a three-time winner there. (Crew chief) Jeff (Stankiewicz) is trying to go for a three-peat too. He won at Kansas last year with Spencer (Gallagher), and won at Daytona with us. It’s going to be a big weekend, and hopefully we can finish it up in victory lane again.”
On what suits him about Mobile International Speedway:
“It’s a huge deal to be able to run in front of the home crowd and to be in front of all the guys that can’t see us on a weekly basis with the ARCA (Racing Series). Mobile is my home track, so that’s what my driving style was built around. The fact that you have to keep a lot of corner speed in the center. It’s high banked, fast short track, which is just right up my alley. It’s also a place where you have to conserve tires. We’ll drop off (lap times) a good bit pace wise during the run. I like the races like that where you have to manage tires, manage your car as well as your competitors. It’s a fun, true short track.”
