9/23 – Strong 4th Place Finish for Grant Enfinger and Team BCR
Strong 4th Place Finish for Grant Enfinger and Team BCR
(Sparta, KY – September 22, 2013) Due to the rain on Friday, the ZLOOP 150 at Kentucky Speedway was postponed until Saturday, September 21, where Enfinger and Team BCR would capture a strong 4th place finish for their 8th start this season.
Starting 23rd based on Owner’s Points, Enfinger had to work hard to make his way into the top 10 in the No. 90 Motor Honey/Casite Ford Fusion. Crew Chief, Kelly Kovski, made the decision to pit on lap 38 under the caution for two left side Hoosier tires and Sunoco fuel. Grant exited pit road in the second position. On lap 55, the No. 90 Ford Fusion came down pit road for the last time. The crew once again did a great job giving Grant four Hoosier tires, adjustments and Sunoco Fuel. This pit stop would send Enfinger out into 10th.
After making the adjustments to the Ford Fusion, Enfinger reassured the crew at Team BCR, their car was one of the best out there. This was easily seen in the last twenty laps of the race when the Alabama native driver maneuvered his way up to fifth. With only two laps left in the race, Enfinger battled Chad Boat in the No. 84 to gain another position. Finally on the last lap of the race, Enfinger was able to make his way by the No. 84 car and end his day in 4th.

We really needed a caution there at the end,” says Team BCR’s Driver, Grant Enfinger. “The cautions didn’t work in our favor this week but we made plenty of progress throughout this whole race. I feel we had one of the best cars out there. The crew worked really hard the past few weeks on the chassis and it paid off today. With two victories this season and solid top finishes, we’ve proven Howard Bixman and Team BCR are the best in the business. I’d really like to thank everyone that’s helped us get to this point including Motor Honey/Casite, Triple K Construction, Wurth, Stanley Industries, Ford Racing, RoushYates, Howard Bixman and the entire staff at Team BCR.”
Team Manager and Crew Chief at Team BCR, Howard Bixman is pleased with the results at Kentucky, “We had another race winning car here. Grant needed a caution to be able to battle for a win. We have worked on some things the past few weeks and it paid off. With just one more race left in the 2013 season, we’re going to be putting all our efforts in to bring home another win. I’d like to thank our Marketing Partners for their support this year.”
