Team BCR and Grant Enfinger Finish Third at Kansas Speedway
(Mooresville, NC – October 23, 2012) – For their second run of the year together, Team BCR and Grant Enfinger post a strong top-3 finish in the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards event at Kansas Speedway.
Starting off in the 11th position for the ARCA 98.9 Kansas Lottery, Grant Enfinger quickly moved up positions without a problem with their RoushYates powered engine. Before a caution on lap 58, Enfinger had been running 7th. Crew Chief Howard Bixman, instructed Enfinger and the pit crew they were going to stop for two tires and fuel. With that decision and a great stop by the crew, Grant was first off pit road and became the race leader. The #09 Motor Honey/ Casite Ford Fusion took the lead for the next 23 laps of the race.
By lap 84, Enfinger battling for the lead caught lap traffic and lost the top spot, dropping him back to 3rd, where he finished the race. This is Grant Enfinger’s 14th, top three finish in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.
“Another top finish with Team BCR and Howard Bixman is very exciting,” said Grant Enfinger. “Howard made the right decisions on a two tire stop, giving the car better balance. Also, my car was areo tight in traffic so I needed to be out front. This is a great opportunity for me with this team. We seem to have a good relationship with good performances every time we show up to a race track. We had a podium finish here and I’m sure if we can secure funding for 2013, there will be more to come for us.”
Crew Chief Howard Bixman commented, “Grant is an amazing, talented driver and we have great results every time we run together. The Kansas test was very valuable for us, where we found some things with the tires which gave us great results during the race. Grant and I have had so many top five finishes over the past couple of years, I’m sure Grant and this team will be in victory circle soon. There is no doubt with the proper funding in place for 2013 we could run for a championship.
