Grant Enfinger Finishes in Top Ten at Pocono
(Mooresville, NC – August 6, 2012) Team BCR, Crew Chief Howard Bixman and Grant Enfinger had high hopes for this past weekend’s race at Pocono Raceway. Due to unfortunate events, the #09 Casite Motor Honey/RoushYates Performance Parts Ford Fusion fell short from making it in the top 5.
Starting the race out in the 12th position didn’t mean much to driver, Grant Enfinger when he easily made his way up to the 5th position on lap 18 of the Pennsylvania ARCA 125.
Having only one caution in the entire race at lap 5, the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards teams were forced to make pit stops under green flag conditions. Grant was leading the field with the #09 Motor Honey/RoushYates Performance Parts Ford Fusion on lap 37, when the crew had to make the decision to pit for fuel and tires.
Due to the unpleasant pit stop, the team lost valuble track time and could not make up for lost time and had to settle for an 8th place finish.
“The guys at the shop worked very hard this week,” said Crew Chief, Howard Bixman. “We were there long hours into the night and wee hours of the morning throughout the entire week trying to get this #09 car ready for Pocono. I know we were capable of at least a top three finish at this race, we just didn’t have luck at our side. I just want to thank the entire Casite Company for giving us the oppurtuninty to promote their brand MOTOR HONEY this week at Pocono and for all the support. I also want to thank RoushYates Performance Parts along with RoushYates Engines. A special thanks to Nick Ramey and his staff for going over and beyond this week. Also, for all of the extra effort and hours they provided for us with great horsepower. This RoushYates Engine program and this group of people are the best in the business, I can’t thank them enough. ”
Grant Enfinger commented on the race, “I can’t thank Team BCR, Howard Bixman, Casite, RoushYates Performance Parts and Wurth enough. This race wouldn’t even be possible without them. Everyone on the team put alot of their effort into this car this week and it showed. We had great horsepower with RoushYates Engines but I couldn’t make up for the lost time after the pit stop but if we would have had another caution in the race, I know we could have easily made it into the top five.”
