Chatting with Grant Enfinger…

You finished fourth at Iowa in your Truck Series track debut last year and have won at Iowa in the ARCA Racing Series. What are the keys to getting around the 7/8-mile track?
“Iowa is one of my favorite tracks. It’s gotten bumpy, and lost some grip over the years so you have to manage your tires, which makes for better racing. Turn 4 is wide and sweeping, and Turn 2 is tighter and the wall comes up quicker, so sometimes you have to compromise on one end of the track.”
Iowa is a one-day show – practice, qualify, and race all in one day. Do you like that particular type of schedule, or do you prefer a schedule more like we had in Texas last weekend?
“I personally like it a little better when we practice one day and then come back to qualify and race the next day. This is a one-day show for on track activity, but all the teams still have to be there Friday for tech.”
